Some of my Favourite Cards

As this is my new blog I wanted to share some of my favourite cards that I have made over the last 4 years. Many of these were on the craft guides blog so there maybe some you have already seen.

These were my first ever commission from a complete stranger. I was at a craft fair and the lady loved the cards I had made using Strictly Christmas and asked me if I could make some specially for her with personalised messages. Not bad for my first commission!

I absolutely love this accordion card. Its a twist on a new baby card, this time for a new arrival in the form of a puppy. A very gorgeous little puppy called Yoda who was joining the family of one of my best friends. I made this "New Arrival" card especially for her.

This Anniversary card was a special request from my Dad's partner. One of her friends were celebrating a big wedding anniversary and were having a lavish Masquerade Ball to mark the occasion. She asked me to make a card based on the theme of the party. She loved the end result and apparently the Anniversary couple were really surprised to get a masquerade card! Success!

The mask itself is an image that my Dad's partner gave me. I then cut round it and feathered the edges to make the feathers look more lifelike (extremely fiddly!). I then used foam pads to give the mask lift. With some black and gold paper and gold mirror card I think the glamorous masquerade look was achieved!

This Tilly Daydream card was made for Livi on her 11th Birthday. She is the daughter of one of my best friends and a budding card maker herself. She even has her own Big Shot! (I am not jealous at all!!). We have also made cards together, so I knew she would like this card, especially as it had her name on it too!

The following year I made Livi a card for her 12th Birthday. This time it had to have an Owl theme as she had become obsessed with anything with owls on! Pencil cases, folders, cushions, notebooks, etc etc!
Another of my favourite cards is this Goth inspired Hello Kitty card that I made for another of my best friends, She was moving out of her parents house into her new home. It was a big exciting step, so I had to make her a Good Luck card! I had already got her a Hello Kitty Double Duvet set as her moving  in present, so I had to make a Hello Kitty card to go with. She is such as huge fan of Hello Kitty stuff. She really loved this card (and the duvet set!).
And finally I love this Wellington card that I made for my Dad for his Birthday two years ago. My Dad loves sitting in his arm chair reading the newspaper, so this was a perfect card. I also loved the decoupage. Good number of layers too.
